Born October 11, 1943 in Washington D.C., Carol, a Registered Nurse for 35 years, moved to the Port Charlotte area in 2002 from Salisbury, Maryland. She worked most recently for Sandhill Gardens Retirement Center in Port Charlotte.

Survivors include her children, son Christopher O. Walling of North Port, FL, and daughter Lee Anne Walling of Charlotte, NC; brothers Jay Palmer of Omaha, NE and Kevin Palmer of Leesburg, VA, and sister Therese (husband-George) Weiss also of Leesburg, VA.
