Carole Christine Mullen,87, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Sunday, October 26, 2025.
Carole was born on February 11, 1938, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Bessie(Lewis) and Antonio Aneiro. Carole lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to family and community. She retired from the Warrants Division of the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Department, where she was admired for her strong work ethic and kind heart.
Carole is survived by her daughters Colleen Mullen-Schwartz and Erin Mullen-Travis, her honorary daughter Linda Prisco, daughter-in-law Phyllis “Cookie” Mullen, bonus son Toby Mullen, her sister Joan Skinner, nieces and nephews and especially her beloved niece Kimberly Skinner-Fernandez. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren — Casey, Christopher, Dawn, Jason, Jacqueline, Joseph, Jory, Kaylee, Patrick, and honorary grandson Tyler— and 15 great-grandchildren, her special rescue pup Sadie Mae, all of whom brought her immense joy.
She was preceded in death by her sons Roger and Shaun, her daughter Patricia, her brother Raymond, her sister Evelyn and her beloved son-in-law Gary Travis. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Tidewell Hospice for the compassionate care and comfort they provided in her final days.
Carole will be remembered for her strength, her kindness, and the deep love she shared with everyone, fortunate enough to know her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on February 11, 2026, in Port Charlotte, Florida, in honor of what would have been Carole’s 88th birthday.
