Catherine was born June 8, 1911 in Brooklyn, New York where she lived most of her life until moving to Port Charlotte in August of 1991 to live with her loving and devoted son, Robert. She was blessed with such compassion and love that she dedicated and devoted her life to her only son, Robert.
Her love and devotion will be missed by her surviving family; her son, Robert Poppy (wife-Jean) Ferrentino of Port Charlotte; and seven grandchildren, Dolores (husband-Mike) Mazza of Brooklyn, NY, Robert Ferrentino, Jr., Broward County, FL, Frank Ferrentino of Brooklyn, NY, Kelly (husband-Richie) Nierstedt of Allentown, NJ, Vinny Ferrentino of Broward County, FL Amy Guinn of Port Charlotte and Joseph (wife-Lisa) of Port Charlotte; and 17 great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed, but never
forgotten.

The greatest gift of all is that the Lord kept her on this Earth for 96 years, and for this, the world is a better place! We have heard what a loving and caring Mother, Grandmother and Greatgrandmother she was, you are so lucky to have had her in your lives.
May God be with you and your whole family this Friday, when you honor her memory and mourn her passing.
In her honor, we have requested that a Mass be said in her memory at St. Patrick's Church, Brooklyn.
May God keep you strong in your time of need and may her love always remain in your hearts.
