Catherine Kipfinger, 78, of Punta Gorda, Florida passed away at home on Friday, November 21, 2014 surrounded by her family.

She was born in 1936 to her late parents, Dominic & Carmela Mendolia in Boston, Massachusetts. She wed Robert Kipfinger, to whom she was married for over 50 years before his death earlier this year.

Robert, Catherine, and their children relocated to Punta Gorda in 1975. Catherine worked as a cosmetologist in her own shop in Punta Gorda for many years, followed by a second career at Publix. She retired in 2011 and dedicated her remaing time to enjoying her free time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting and watching cooking shows on television. Shopping trips with family members were also high on her list of favorite things to do.

Catherine is survived by her children, Diane, Debbie, Michael, Valerie, Stephen and Frank, along with many grandchildren and great children.

Memorial services will be held Saturday 11:00 AM, November 29, 2014 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Catherine’s life.
