Born Catherine Ann Trovato on July 2, 1957 in Omaha, Nebraska to Donald J. and Mary Jane (nee-Cacioppo) Trovato, Cathy moved from Savage to the Port Charlotte area in 2000. A Coldwell Banker Realtor, she worked for Sunstar Realty, Inc. in Port Charlotte until her death. Her life was her family first and foremost, and her work. She enjoyed being a mother of three young men, the sun and the beach.
She is survived by her three sons, Adam Matthew Schmid, Nicholas Michael Koch, and Jason David Koch; father, Donald J. (significant other Joan Dutcher) Trovato; mother, Mary Jane (husband Pete) Pieters; former spouse Bryan Koch; brothers, Michael J. (wife Rita Siewrattan) Trovato and Stephen J. (wife Jill) Trovato; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family members, and friend and companion, Ron Grattan.
