Charles was born March 22, 1932, in Toria, Kentucky, to the late Charles R. and Rucian R. Cole. Charles, who served with the U. S. Army, met and married Arlene Ann Krihak in 1957, with whom they had a daughter, Denise, and raised together in Chicago, Illinois. Charles and Arlene moved from their home in Chicago to Port Charlotte in 1978, and he was a 50-year member of the Loyal Order of Moose.
Charles is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Denise and David McCarty of Port Charlotte; grandson, Ryan McCarty also of Port Charlotte; a sister, Wilma Stine of IL, and brother, Dennie (Violet) Cole also of IL; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by a brother, Donnie P. Cole in 2014, and his beloved wife of nearly 50 years, Arlene Ann Cole, in October of 2006.
