David Carlos Ballestas, 48, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Thursday, November 27, 2025 in Port Charlotte.

David will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, curiosity, intelligence and artistic soul. David had a natural way of exploring the world around him, always learning, creating and introspective. He was thoughtful, expressive and deeply into himself, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he crossed paths with due to his warmth and kindness. He was a graduate of Charlotte High School in 1995. He enjoyed traveling, mountainous regions and especially Yellowstone Park. David will be remembered, missed and honored by those who loved and knew him.

He is survived by his parents, David S. and Evelia Ballestas, who will carry his memory forward with love.

A private celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2025 to honor David in a way that reflects who he was. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any Mental Health Awareness Foundation of choice or Arbor Day Foundation where a tree can be planted in David’s name.

David & Evelia, my deepest condolences to you both. David was such a kind and loving young boy, I have many fond memories of him, my son Rob, and all the other students from that class at Saint Charles Borromeo grade school. No words would ever be enought to express my sadness of hearing this news. May God bless you both in the days ahead.
