David Lewis Reidy, 82, passed away on December 2, 2021 after a battle with kidney disease,  in Port Charlotte, Florida.  Dear father of Shaunessy Reidy, Gretchen Winterbottom, Christine Stratton, Patricia (Toby) Dillard, and David (Natalie) Stratton.  Beloved grandfather to Jordan, Solon, Sophia, Shayna, and Addysen and great grandfather to Amora.  Preceded in death by parents John and Madelon, brother John Jr., and sister Nancy.  He is survived by his children, the mother of daughters Shaunessy and Gretchen, Barbara Reidy, nephews Jay and Tom Reidy, and many loving members of the Reidy family.

Dave grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and is a proud alumnus of St. Edwards High School, a Jesuit school founded in 1886, St. Francis University in Pennsylvania, and US Navy Officer Candidate School. Dave served his country as a commissioned officer in the US Navy for four years, severing on Navy vessels all over the globe. After the Navy, Dave worked 15 years for Automated Packaging Systems, LLC, in Streetsboro, Ohio, retiring as Vice-President in 1983.  In 1984 Dave moved to Chester County Pennsylvania, where he would start his own marketing and sales company, Reidy Associates, Inc. where he deployed his expert salesmanship skills and strong work ethic to create a successful company that he would own and operate for 25 years until his retirement and sale of his company in 2009.  Dave enjoyed many friendships in the Machine Packaging Industry over his 40-year career in that industry. Dave was an avid Golfer and a long-time member at Coatesville Country Club in Coatesville, PA where he enjoyed many friendships.  In addition to Golf, Dave loved to read.  Dave loved singing and was a long-time member of a barber shop quartet in Chester County, PA.

He will be laid to rest in arms at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, Florida.
