
David Michael Dermer, Jr, son of David Michael Dermer Sr and Rosanna (Tocco) Dermer, born on September 22, 1980, in Port Charotte, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.
David (or Davie as he was commonly known) grew up in Port Charlotte, FL and went to high school at Charlotte High but decided high school was not his favorite thing, so he went on to achieve his GED at the age of 17 from the VoTech. He then went on to pursue a career in IT which he dedicated himself to his entire life. He achieved many IT certifications and truly had a passion for and became an expert in the IT world. He was an entrepreneur who opened many IT businesses while also working in the hospital systems at a CPAC.
David had two children, David Michael III and Kaitlyn Laine who he loved deeply. He was known for his vivid imagination that supported numerous adventures and great laughs with his loved ones. He was known by his family as “the dreamer”.
David and his father, Dave Sr, had a very close relationship, and David cared for his father until their final days.
David is survived by his children, David Michael Dermer III and Kaitlyn Laine Dermer. He is also survived by his mother, Rosanna Dermer, brother Robert (Christel) Dermer, sister Amanda (Julian), Beverly, 4 nephews/nieces, as well as many aunts, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
