David was born April 1, 1937 in New Boston, Ohio, the son of Edith Kern and Carl Neal Hutchinson. David received a BS degree in Chemistry from Eastern Nazarene College, a MS in Chemistry from Lehigh University, and a Masters degree in Public Administration from the University of San Francisco.
David, a true Renaissance man, pursued several careers in his lifetime including being a research chemist, a PGA golf professional, sleep clinic administrator, and a hospital CEO. While in sleep work at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, he was a member of the team that developed the CPAP breath process. CPAP was the career achievement of which he was most proud. In retirement, as a certified FFF fly casting instructor and avid fly fisherman, he enjoyed many days of fishing in the USA and abroad.
David is survived by his wife, Meg Bianco Hutchinson, a son, Mark Hutchinson and his wife, Nicole; a sister, Rev. Rebecca Turcott and brother-in-law, Robert Turcott; nephews, Robert Cornell and wife Julie, Scott Turcott and wife Rosalyn; nieces, Elizabeth Cornell and husband, Edward Haas, Denise Turcott, Deborah Turcott and husband David Kratz, and Sarah Turcott. His life was blessed with many grand nieces and nephews.
