David R. Dittman, 59, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022, at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Sarasota, Florida.
Born January 22, 1963 in Bradford, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Richard and Kathilynn (Weidow) Dittman of Port Charlotte, FL. A 1980 graduate of Bradford Area High School in Bradford, PA, David worked for Quaker State Oil Company prior to venturing into business for himself as owner and operator of both Dittman Trucking and Dittman East Main Service Station until his retirement do to his health.
He is survived by his parents Richard and Kathilynn Dittman of Port Charlotte, FL, and his Fiancé, the love of his life, Angela Anthony of Port Charlotte, FL; his uncle, William (Linda) Weidow of Bradford, PA, several nieces, nephews, numerous friends and his beloved dog, Buddy, whose company he greatly enjoyed. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Margaret Dittman, and Harold and Ruth Weidow, all from Bradford, PA, and uncles James (Marylou) Dittman and Ronald Dittman, all of Bradford, PA.
No services will be held at this time per David’s wishes. A celebration of life will be held in Bradford, PA, at a later date.
