Dean White, 64, of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away peacefully at Tidewell Hospice, Port Charlotte, on Tuesday, October 17, 2023.
He was born January 7, 1959 to William D. White and Georgene (White) Goins in Joliet, Illinois.
Dean is survived by his Soul Mate, Best Friend & Loving Wife of 39 years Anne White, his mother, Georgene Goins of North Port, his sister and brother in-law, Denise and Patrick Jackson of North Port ,his brother and sister in law, Don & Tina White of Lakewood Ranch, his nephews and nieces, Michael (Angela) Salerno of North Port, Juliana Jackson of North Port, Donny(Christine)White of Stevenson Ranch, CA, Terri(Chris) Hoegstrom of Lakewood Ranch and Tyler(Jessica)White of Sarasota as well as his in-laws; Gene and Linda Kohout of Sebring and their children, Dorene & Dan Noonan of IL., and Ruth Kohout of Escondido, CA. He was also survived by several Great Nephews, Great Nieces, Uncles, Aunts and Cousins. Dean was preceded in death by his father William White & niece Alycia Salerno, Grandparents, Several Aunts and Uncles, Cousins.
Dean spent 33 years of his career in the funeral industry in Florida, California, Illinois, and Ohio. He was very dedicated and extremely compassionate in his profession. His passion for flying allowed him to fulfill his dream of getting his pilots’ license. One of the things that made him the happiest was flying up in those clouds and seeing such beautiful views! Dean also had a great love of motocross. He Started racing at 13 yrs. old into his adult life ,he had a need for speed. His other passion was sports. Football, playing on a team or teaching the kids with a good family game and watching football “A Chicago Bears Fan”. Playing a game of golf, and Basketball he played in school, Dean loved his sports!
Although he had no children his caring & love for his Nieces and Nephews made him a wonderful mentor. Dean had a deep love for animals and he and Anne always shared their home with their “fur babies” as part of their family. Dean was loved and respected by many. He had a heart of gold and will be deeply missed by all who had the opportunity to know him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday October 28th from 1pm to 4pm at 6360 Raymur Street North Port , Fl 34286.
