Diane Ruth Floros-Black, 60, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at her Port Charlotte residence.
Diane or Momma D or DiDi, to her family and friends, had a zest for life . . . touching all those who were blessed to experience her, to know her. She wasn’t your ordinary human walking the earth, she was a big presence, alive and lit up! Diane Black, a full expression of pure love. She was an experience to be had.
It would only take one encounter and you were never the same! She always knew intuitively the best gift to give, the empathetic word to utter, and her hugs made you melt to the core of your being. She loved the vastness of the sky, the solidity of the mountains and the fluidity of water, for each of these represented the way she moved through life. She would touch down from the sky and surrender to all that could be felt with all of her senses. To Momma D, life was the tallest and the fastest roller coaster. Her capacity to love was astonishing and her need to give surpassed understanding.
With infinite fervor, she loved her two children (Aaron and Nicholas), her twin-sister of 60 years (Donna), her fiancé’ (Jeff) her mother (Marie), and father (Lou). She mentioned often how she wanted to go be with “daddy,” who made an indelible mark and passed at a young age. And, now thy are finally reunited.
Her voice, sarcastic quips, and laughter will never cease in our minds and our love for her and the love she so generously gave will never stop vibrating in our hearts. She was an angel on earth, and now she has expanded her territory from above. Diane Black, our treasured recording junkie! Her soul must have known the joy we would get by her never-ending visual documentation of her life! She is now at peace. We love you DiDi, till we meet again.
