He was born November 30, 1926 in New York, NY and moved to Port Charlotte 20 years ago from Flushing, NY. Donald was a retired longshoreman and a veteran of World War II, U.S. Marine Corps. He is survived by his wife 57 years, Lillian A. Brinkerhoff of Port Charlotte; a daughter, Laura (Gene) Evensen of Port Charlotte; a son, Car(Kathy) Brinkerhoff of Medford, NY; three sisters, Dorothy Brinkerhoff of New York, NY, Grace Iezzi of West Palm Beach, FL and Eileen Collins of Yulan, NY; 3 grandchildren, Kirsten, Christopher and Brandon; and a great granddaughter, Lauren.
