Donald Cucchiaro

Mr. Donald Cucchiaro, 72, of Punta Gorda, Florida, formerly of Staten Island, New York, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 1, 2011 in Port Charlotte, Florida.

Born on April 14, 1938 in Manhattan, New York, to the late Dominic and Anita Cucchiaro, Donald, a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired Police Officer for the NYPD, moved from Staten Island to Port Charlotte in 1996. He was a member of the B.P.O. Elks Lodge No. 2153 in Port Charlotte.

He is survived by three children; daughter Daria (Husband David C.) Cucchiaro-Randall of Cave Creek, AZ, and sons Robert Cucchiaro of Athens, GA, and Philip Cucchiaro of Punta Gorda; a brother, Thomas Cucchiaro of Orlando, FL; maternal aunt, Christine Miczerak of Daytona Beach, FL; his best friend and significant companion, Lois M. Redmond of Punta Gorda; two nieces and a nephew.
