Donald Kaminski
April 24, 1930 - March 22, 2010

Donald was born April 24, 1930 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and moved to Port Charlotte in 1973 from there. He was a World War II veteran who served proudly for the U.S. Navy. He was the owner of Wholesale Carpet Outlet in Port Charlotte. He was an exceptional father, grandfather and friend and will be missed a great deal by all who loved and knew him.

He is survived by his daughters, Julie Leist of North Port, FL, Dana Page of Punta Gorda, FL, Kim Hensley of Murphy, NC and DeAnne Wittman of Nunnan, GA; 1 son, Robert Kaminski of Las Vegas, NV; and 5 grandchildren.

I first met Don about 15 years ago when I worked at Roadway Express. I always appreciated his sense of humor and his down to Earth nature. When we would run into each other in Publix we would always chat and harass each other with barbs but it was all good natured sparring. You were one of the Good Guys Don.
