Donald Victor Massolio, 84, passed away peacefully on October 29th in Port Charlotte, Florida.

Don became a longtime resident of Port Charlotte and Venice after moving from Chicago in 1969. He built a successful career in real estate, a profession he was passionate about, spending 45 years as a real estate agent and broker.

Don had a wonderful sense of humor and found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved making people laugh, bringing smiles to those around him, and sharing his friendship with everyone he met. Above all, he was a loving Husband to Pat, Loving partner to Jeannine, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend whose warmth and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Don is survived by his daughter, Cynthia McDougall of North Port; his sons, Donald Massolio Jr. and Robert Massolio of Port Charlotte; his grandchildren, Seth, Sara, Max, and Mason; his sister, Charmaine; his brothers, John and Bill; and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his loving partner, Jeannine Gonsalves, and his brother, James Massolio.

Private inurnment will be held at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte, Florida.

Don will be remembered for his humor, his love of family, and the many friendships he made throughout his life. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories and will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to St Jude Hospital.
