Born July 13, 1922 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dorothy (Dottie), a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, moved to Port Charlotte from her native Pittsburgh in 1989. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Vision Impaired, Elketts Lodge 2673 (Deep Creek), American Legion Post 110 Auxiliary and VFW Post 5690 Auxiliary and Military Cooty, all of Port Charlotte.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years Edward A. Luppe; one son, Edward A. Luppe Jr. of Pittsburgh, PA, two daughters, Patricia Niedermyer of State College, PA and Lorraine Sullivan of Baltimore, MD; 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
