Edna L. Campbell, 80, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Tidewell Hospice Inc. in Port Charlotte.

Edna was born to Melburn and Mabel Johnson on June 5, 1939 in Jamaica, West Indies. She was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church in Port Charlotte. She loved spending time with family and friends and will be forever missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her 3 sons, Devon and his wife, Cherie Dunn, Lloyd Thorpe and Balfour Dunn all of Hartford, CT; 2 stepsons, Cecil Campbell of Orlando, FL and Richard Campbell of Port Charlotte; 2 brothers, Edgar Johnson and Clarence Johnson both of Bloomfield, CT and Vincent Johnson of England and 6 grandchildren, Devon, Jr., Dondre, Denzel, Darius, Donovan, Drew and Karimah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kelvin Campbell and her daughter, Audrey Wiggins.

Visitation will be held 10:00AM-11:00AM, with a funeral service to follow at 11:00AM, Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Seventh Day Adventist Church in Port Charlotte. Interment will follow to Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte, FL.

To the family of Ms. Edna Campbell: I would like to express my condolences to you for the loss of your mother, grandmother and sister. Coping with the loss of a loved one can seem unbearable. But be assured that you are not alone in your grief. Many have found effective ways to cope with their loss so as not to be overwhelmed by sorrow. Always remember...take care of yourself...accept help from others...allow yourself to remember...and most of all, rely on Jehovah, 'the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials'. And it is by way of his Word, the Bible, that he provides the greatest comfort of all while grieving the loss of a loved one. It states at Acts 24:15 that there is going to be a resurrection of those who have died. Imagine the joy when Ms. Campbell is brought back to life, right here on earth to be reunited with her loved ones, and also have the prospect of regaining her youthful vigor.
