EDWARD THOMAS EVANS, Sr., 80, of Port Charlotte, Florida
passed away Wednesday June 17, 2009 at Peace River Regional Medical
Center.
He was born in Muskegon, Michigan and moved to Port Charlotte in 1994.
He retired from the US Air Force and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Bessie C. Evans of Port Charlotte.
Three daughters, Cecelia (husband Jerry) McCafferty of Key Largo, FL., Denise (husband Ed) Jaques of Port Charlotte, Stacey (husband Terry) Zdunczyk of Slidell, LA;
Two sons, James (wife Barbara) Evans of Port Charlotte and Edward (wife Linda) Evans Jr. of Key Largo; three brothers, Harold(wife Charlotte) Evans of Las Vegas, George(wife Jean) Evans of Winterhaven, FL. and Art (wife Connie) Evans of Violet Hill, Arkansas; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren
Committal service with military honors will be held at a later date
at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, Florida.
