He was born in Mount Kisco, New York on November 29, 1937 to the late William G. and Marie Wright. Ed, a retired N.Y.P.D. Detective, moved from Long Island to Port Charlotte in 1977 with his wife Arleen, and began a second career in Real Estate to keep himself busy. A member of San Antonio Catholic Church in Port Charlotte, Ed was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 12456, Past President of New York 10-13 Association of America, Inc., Past President of the National Association of Retired Law Enforcement Officers, and member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge No. 566 and Port Charlotte Association of Realtors.
He leaves behind his loving children, sons Keith J. Wright of Port Charlotte, and Jeffrey Wright of Indianapolis, IN; a daughter, Adrienne Spyridakos of Brandon, FL; six grand and four great grandchildren; also, a brother, William G. Wright, Jr., and sister, Marilynn TerVeen. Ed was preceded in death by his beloved wife Arleen in 2009.
