Eleanor Diane Kochengin Giardelli, 90, of Punta Gorda Florida, passed away February 3, 2023.
Eleanor was born to Anna Felesewski and Nicholus Kochengin September 23, 1932 in Queens New York. She grew up in Brooklyn, attended Franklin K. Lane High School where she met “her” Joseph and later married on September 23, 1951. Out of High School she went to work at Price Waterhouse, until having children. In 1960 her and her husband moved to Howard Beach where they raised their children. In the 70’s they moved to Florida where they owned and operated a Tennis Club in Port Charlotte. Ele taught tennis there and helped bring USTA tennis to this area. Later in the 80’s, her passion for art and color brought her a new career drawing, creating, and selling Stained Glass, along with her daughter Catherine. Together they fabricated and sold window work for 28 years. She loved the Lord, loved the outdoors, loved gardening, loved to watch the sun set, but the love of her life was her Joseph.
She was married to Joseph Giardelli for 48 years, they had 2 daughters together, Linda and Catherine. Linda gave her 4 grandchildren, Mac, Ayyuba, Illia and Madelyn. Catherine gave her 2 grandson’s Adam and Aaron. She has 5 great grandchildren Max, Corrine, Jack, Brendan and Remington.
