We say goodbye to ELIZABETH F.M. MOFFATT, 88, of Punta Gorda, Florida who died Monday, May 4, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was born June 12, 1926 in Glasgow, Scotland and moved to Charlotte County in 1996 from New Jersey. She was a Presbyterian and a retired realtor.

She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Barbara E. (Christopher) Timms of North Port, FL, Linda C. (Thomas) Thornberry of Port Charlotte, and Diane K. Moffatt of Boca Grande, FL; her grandchildren, Corey (Anita) Collins, Lindsey (Tyler) Paille, Tommy, Joey and T.J. Thornberry and Ann Marie Schmidt; her great grandchildren, Noah, Cohen, Hailey, Lily, Nolan and Kathryn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Moffatt.

I remember Mrs Moffatt and her awesome daughters from my childhood, growing up here playing tennis. Later in life Mrs Moffatt was my client and I wish I could have had hundreds more like her. She always brightened up the place and left us feeling better than before she came in. She was a woman of good character that always faced life's challenges and did so as optimistically as she could. I know her daughters miss her dearly.....I see her in them when they smile, laugh and speak. I hope that every good memory makes its way into their hearts and minds on just the right day and moment as long as they live.......She is missed by all that knew her. John Joiner and Family.

Linda, Barb and Diane, I have very fond memories of Betty. I remember watching her and your Dad dance at one of Linda's many New Year's Eve Parties they could really cut a rug!! For those who believe we know that this life is just a stepping stone to eternal life with the Father. I know Betty was greeted in heaven by Vince and Joey and they welcomed her with open arms. I hope you will all find comfort in the many memories you have of your Mom. God Bless!!
