Eric Morris, 86 of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away peacefully on Friday, August 18, 2023, at 10.40pm.

Eric was born August 12, 1937, at Cave, Westmoreland, Jamaica, West Indies to the late Egbert and Medora (Howden) Morris. He immigrated to the United Kingdom in 1974, he then settled in the United States in 1984 where he lived in Brooklyn, New York then moved to Port Charlotte in 1988.

Eric is known for his fun personality, yet he was a gentleman. He had a love for fishing, music and playing dominoes.

Eric is survived by his brother, Walter Morris and a loving family of daughters and sons, namely, Rosalee, Antionette, Clover, Jasmine, Chantelle, Osbourne and Jason. His children blessed him with a bounty of grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be missed by all, including his nieces, nephews and cousins in the UK, Jamaica, Canada and the United States.

Visitation and Services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Roberson Funeral Home Chapel, 2151 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, FL 33948.  A private family interment will be held later, where he will be laid to rest at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Port Charlotte.
