Eugene D. Grinion, 77, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Monday, October 31, 2011 peacefully at his home in Port Charlotte.
Eugene was born November 11, 1933 in Jamaica, West Indies and moved to Port Charlotte in 1977 from White Plains, New York. Eugene was a retired Sugar maker mechanic for 16 years working for U.S. Sugar Corp in Clewiston, FL. He was a handyman helping countless people with anything that required repair. He enjoyed gardening a great deal but not as much as being there for his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Neirissa Grinion; a daughter, Vanessa Grinion of Fort Polk, LA; 2 sons, Wayne Grinion of Miramar, FL and Adrian Grinion of Riverview, FL; 3 sisters; 5 brothers, and 6 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 9:00AM-10:00AM, Saturday, November 5, 2011 at United Evangelical Missionary Outreach, 4200 Juniper St., Port Charlotte, FL 33948. Funeral services will follow at 10:00AM, Saturday, November 5, 2011 at the church. Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Port Charlotte, Florida.
