Father Carmone was born October 22, 1918 in Bristol, Rhode Island and moved to Port Charlotte in 1987 from North Providence, RI. He was a well respected Roman Catholic priest in numerous churches in Rhode Island and in Port Charlotte including San Pedro Catholic Church, Saint Maximillian Kolbe Catholic Church and St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. He served as a hospitalist chaplain for Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in Rhode Island for 16 years. Father Carmone will be perpetually remembered by his supporters for all the services he provided.The family would like to give thanks and gratitude to all the staff of Tidewell Hospice and Sterling House who lovingly cared and comforted him.

Survivors include his loving niece, Joanne Carter of Bristol, RI and his caring friend, Carolyn M. McAuley of Port Charlotte.
