Ferdinand A. Bennett, 79, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at Tidewell Hospice and Palliative Care, Port Charlotte.

He was born May 27, 1928 in Jamaica, West Indies and moved to Port Charlotte
in 1990 from New York, New York. Mr. Bennett was a retired billing department
manager for Odgen Corp. of New York, NY. He was a member of St.
Charles Borromeo Catholic Church of Port Charlotte.

He is survived by his loving family, four daughters, Faye Davis of Port Charlotte,
Beverly Cumberbatch of Greenbelt, MD, Jennifer Colon of Port Charlotte and Marjorie Tribbett of Dallas, TX; a son, Tony Bennett of Miami, FL; a sister, Mavis Johnson of Jamaica; and 7 Grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Jean Bennett in 2005
