Fernando S. Pacheco, 76, of North Port, Florida, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, after a brief stay at ShorePoint Health Port Charlotte, Florida.

Ferando was born on June 2, 1947, on Portugal’s São Jorge island in the central group of the Azores archipelago.  Following his military service in the Portuguese Army, Fernando immigrated to the United States settling in Swansea, Massachusetts.  He met the love of his life, Ilda M. Costa, in 1974.  They married in 1975.  The had two sons, Stephen and Mark, and resided in Fall River Massachusetts.  In 2003, they moved to North Port, Florida.  Before retiring, Fernando was emplyed be Cemex.

He is survived by his beloved loving wife Ilda, his two sons, Stephen and Mark, his grandchildren Alexandra and Darien; four brothers and three sisters; two aunts, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A man of Catholic faith and member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte, a Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte at 1 PM on Friday, January 26, 2024.  A private committal will be conducted at a later date.
