This is very sad time for the Family. First my condolences to Claudette and my other siblings, to auntie Yvonne,Pam, and Patsy. Uncle Sonny as we (Louis and I) called him then and Paps in the later days was a great inspiration to us but I gravitated more and shared much more with Paps. At 11yrs old he came into my life and became a Father figure for the rest of my life. He taught me to drive, play the Stereo, which was hands off to everyone else, he would chose which cologne I was going to get, to use, from his array of choices when I was going out. He treated me very special. I learned from him how to be a Father to my step children, he told me to always HUG my children and always tell them that I Love them. He was a remarkable father to me. I was exposed to his hundreds of books which I read many and furthered myself in different aspects of life..There are so many opportunities he pushed into my path that made me who I am today. Some of them I failed him but the majority was successful. While working at Telecoms he called me into his office for the first and only time, I was very nervous, he said not to sit and he pulled out the daily papers and showed me the front page, there was I being congratulated by my Engineer for a successful completion of work which started the underground telephone system in Guyana. He smiled and said I am proud of you, hurry and get back to work. He was a great provider, when I was leaving for England to further my studies, at the airport as I was about to say goodbye he pulled me aside and said to me, I don't have anything much to give you but here is an envelope it has£100. do not spend it, you will see nice things, don't buy anything Save it. Paps has done a lot for Louis and I. Thank you for being there. Oh he flogged me once with the insistence of my Mother. Pops I will always love you and I thank Claudette for loving him and offering him such wonderful care. You are the greatest. He is now a Ansestor.
