Frances M. McCann, age 93, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 2, 2019, in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Frances was on born December 28, 1925 in Evanston, Illinois, to the late Victor and Charlotte (née – Springer) Metzger.  Frances moved to Palm Beach Gardens, FL, from Centerport, Long Island, New York in 1979, where she met her husband, James V. McCann.  Frances and James moved to Port St. Lucie, FL in 1992, and after the death of her husband James, Frances relocated to Ft. Pierce, FL in March of 2013, where she spent the rest of the days of her life.  Frances was a member of many social clubs, including Red Hat Society, American Contract Bridge League, Travel Club, Savanna Women’s Club, Savanna Singles Club, Elks Club, and Bonco.

In addition to her parents  and husband , Frances was preceded in death by a son Victor.  She is survived by her daughters, Sharron H. (Spouse Richard) O’Neill of Punta Gorda, FL, Denise Boucher of Houston, TX, and Paulette J. Boucher of Huntington, NY; a sister, Harriet A. Krause of Pasadena, CA, two nieces and one grandnephew.

A memorial service celebrating Frances’ life will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2019, at Roberson Funeral Home, 215 Mary Street, Punta Gorda, Florida. A private committal to be held by Frances’ family will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Frances’ name are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
