Condolance to the Marziello family. Fran and I worked for different departments in the city of Pittsfield, we worked in the same area. Through the years I got to know Fran very well and developed upmost respect for him. I missed the conversations that we had over the years. He will be missed. Tom Harris retired ppd

To the Marziello Family, Please accept my condolances on the passing of Frank. As a new firefighter in the Pittsfield, Fran was always willing to teach me, as well as all young members, the ways of the PFD. As I progressed up the career ladder, Fran was always there to support me and help in any way possible. He always treated every officer with the level of respect they deserved. Now, under his breath he may have said a few other things, (Dirty &%$*@...)! But, when the bells hit, Frank was always in the thick of things. He was always the dirtiest and happiest firefighter on any job we handled. Frank also excelled in the kitchen! Lunch, dinner were always exciting and delicious, but, Sunday breakfasts were his specialty! One of the best cooks I ever worked with! (Sorry Sergio!) As a friend, Fran always stepped right up when one of the brothers had a perplexing construction problem. Roof jobs, concrete, sheet rock, snow plowing, he was always there to help. Frank left a big hole in the department when he retired, and now he leaves a big hole in the lives of the wonderful family he helped raised. Bev, I am truly sorry for your loss. But rest assured, he's climbing thet big ladder to his new station in the sky, laughing and smiling all the while... Bob Czerwinski, PFD Fire Chief (Retired)

To Bev, Marie, Sue and all the Marziello family … it is with great sadness that we write this note. Fighting fires and being at the station together, stocking shelves at BMC after our retirements were just a couple things we did over the years. But even more than that were our fun family times. The Bronx Zoo being one of the highlights as well as vacation times at Cape Cod (Bev, remember The Shoe?). Another memory was when Frank wanted to leave our house quite late after we had all attended the Firemen’s Ball. Someone told him couldn’t because he was blocked in and wasn’t going to move her car. As he sputtered and talked under his breath, we finally told him he wasn’t blocked in at all and could have gone home long ago. To say we’re saddened and will always remember Frank is an understatement. Rest in peace Frank. Love Mike and Leslie

To Fran's family, I'm so sorry to hear of Fran's passing. He was not only a brother firefighter but a good friend as well. I know he loved his family tremendously and he was one of the hardest working members of the Fire Dept. that I knew! God Bless you all!!
