Frank John Haas, 86, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at his residence.

He was born November 4, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Port Charlotte
in 1979 from Whiting, Indiana. He was a veteran of World War II, U.S. Navy. Frank was a retired foreman for the Amoco Oil Refinery in Whiting Indiana for 39 years. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 5399 and the Irish-American Club all of Port Charlotte.

He is survived by his loving family, his wife of 60 years, Evelyn J. Haas of Port Charlotte; a daughter, Rita B. (Bill) Ewing of Hammond, IN.; 2 sisters, Betty Dunne of Hometown, IL. and Florence Schultz of Homewood, IL.
