Fred was born December 5, 1933 in Bronx, New York and retired 12 years ago to Port Charlotte, FL. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, US Army, who loved his country. He was a sheet metal worker for 36 years in New York City and was part of the construction of many renowned buildings, including the Twin Towers, Empire State Building and the NY Seaport Project. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, to all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife, of 51 years, Marie Bachmann; two sons, Fredric Bachmann (Grethel) of Naples Fla., and Eric Bachmann (Catherine) of Logan, Ohio; Granddaughters, Margaret, Alina, Ann, Mary, and Colleen; Grandsons, Eric Jr., Thomas, and Patrick; and a sister Mrs. Mary Cervini of Toms River, NJ.

Hi, I miss my uncle and godfather every day. What a wonderful and loving man. I remember him at weddings, how he loved to dance. At Eric and Kate's wedding, he had the "beat in his feet" as he liked to call it. What fun! What a great man! My mom and dad loved him and his family very much. And UJncle Freddy had such a wonderful family---Aunt Marie, Fred and Eric. I wish we lived closer. Love to you all!
