Rest in peace Fred, we will truly miss you. Your "grumpy" wit was hilarious and would have won an Emmy. When you and Joyce would "discuss" cooking styles, the waitress would serve your eggs a bit too runny or that putter wouldn't perform, well, those comical scenes were side splitters . But we all know how much you cared for others and would do anything to help 24 hours a day. You would pick us up or drop us off no matter what hour our flight was scheduled. If our glasses were not fitting right, you would twist and turn them until they looked like new. It's going to be alot quieter now, and not as much fun. Joe and Kim Hunt

Dr. Nadelin made a difference in my life. He was a good father, and loved his children, and their friends. As Marge's friend, I always felt like I was part of the family. My sympathy and love go out to the family.

My mother took all of us, starting in the 60s, to Dr. Nadelin for our eyecare, and I continued to go to him as an adult. My condolences to Dr. Nadelin's family and friends at this difficult time.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Dear Mrs. N and Family, Oh, the memories with the Nadelins - in Church, at Bronson Park, our house, your house, other families in CFM's homes! He was patient and kind in his office - showing us the cartoons so we would concentrate on one spot while he checked our eyes. In FL, he and Mary were so kind to Joyce (my mother), the Hunts and others. We had good times on the golf course (he had to drive the cart!) and playing cards. He made the world a better place and I am blessed for having him in my life. God Bless him and you all. Love, Jim

Mrs. Nadelin and crew - you are in my thoughts. It's been years but I have some very fond memories of the Nadelin household on Wedgwood Drive. I hope Doc Nadelin first reunites with family and then meets Les Paul. Love to all...

Dear Mary and rest of the Family, What a shock to hear of Fred's passing ! Pam was in about 3 weeks ago with the news that he had become very ill. Then when you called last week, it was not very clear he was so very sick. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He was a great guy who left an indelible memory with those he treated at the Eye Clinic. It still happens daily that someone comes in and asks about the both of you. " How are they doing and where did they go ?" He will be truly remembered by all who knew him. I know I will always remember those days we practiced together at the clinic. He was a great mentor in my early days of practice. I will surely miss him that he is now gone. BRYON

Our Dear Nadelin Family, What fun we have had over the years sharing family fun whether it be CFM gatherings on the park, sleep overs as kids, graduations, golfing, singing in church, playing cards or sharing a meal with the group after church. Fred was a special friend of my folks and he always watched over my Mom after Dad passed. He always had the right tool for a fix it job and advice when needed. He had a sense of humor and the ability to know just what would rile up my Mom!! And ALWAYS a BIG hug and welcome whenever we visited. We were blessed to have him and all of you in our life. He will be missed and will have a special place on our hearts and memories. I am glad I visited him in March. Hugs to you all.

Dear Mary and family, Lots of good memories with picnics at Bronson Park, camping in Pentwater and church campouts, singing at St Monica's and Westovers Leftovers Baseball team. Doctor Fred was an honorary family member of that great team. And applying barbeque sauce with his fingers when grilling chicken. These are the things that make us smile through the sadness. He will always be in our hearts. Leslie

Mary and family, Thank you for letting your "Kalamazoo family" know of Fred's death. His picture was worth the proverbial "thousand words." Fred always greeted us with that same smile whenever I, Joel or our children came for his gentle attention at the Eye Clinic. He was our friend and optometrist for many years. Please accept my sympathy on his passing to a new world and prayer for your continued life without his physical presence. He was a very good man who left a wonderful family, many friends and as Marcel Proust wrote, "A charming gardener who made many souls blossom." I am grateful for Fred's presence in my life. Sincerely, Barbara Huber
