Gabriella “Gabby” Jacquelynne Martin and her unborn baby, Carter passed into the arms of Jesus Tuesday, May 6, 2025.
She was born on August 28, 1995 in The Poconos and grew up around Lake Wallenpaupack where her love for water and fishing would grow. Gabby was eight years old when she moved to Florida with her mom and learned to love pools, the beach and the springs caught her heart. It didn’t matter how cold the water she would jump right in.
She went on to graduate from North Port High School in North Port, FL. She attended Lackawanna College in Scranton, Pa where she earned her Associate Degree followed by her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education at the University of Central Florida graduating Cum Laude. She was an amazingly smart girl and loved everything to do with children.
Gabby is survived by her parents: Talitha (Richard) Pollock of North Port, FL, Sam Martin of Philadelphia, PA, three sisters: Genevieve Pollock of Tampa, FL, Chloe, and Penylope Pollock of North Port, and one brother, Justin Gaeta of PA. Grandma Shelley Schwab, Hawley, PA, Grandfather James Coe, North Port, FL, Great Grandpa Bill Schwab Sr, Waymart, PA and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her dearly and significant other, Zachary Church. She was preceded in death by her Great Grandma Marjorie Schwab, and her Great Grandma Margaret “Nanny” LaVorgna, and Great Grandpa Gerald “Pampa” LaVorgna.
Gabby accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior when she was 13. She loved the Lord, and even through her struggles always kept her faith. She had a smile that could light up the room. Her crazy sense of humor and antics left an impression on everyone. She had an infectious laugh, and if she had an opinion or thought about something she wasn’t afraid to make sure the whole room knew it! Recently Gabby learned that she was pregnant and was so excited to be a mom. Though we were never blessed to meet our dear grand baby, Carter, this side of Heaven, our hearts are broken. Gabriella is dearly missed by so many of us who loved her and were touched by her. Our lives on earth can never be the same.
