GAETANO CASAMASSIMA, 81, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Saturday, October 3, 2008 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital, Port Charlotte.

He was born February 17, 1927 in Bari, Italy and moved to Port Charlotte
in 1993 from Harrison, NY. Gaetano was a retired tool & die making supervisor for Kings Electronics in New York. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church of Port Charlotte.

He is survived by his loving wife, his wife of 55 years, Elizabeth Casamassima of Port Charlotte; three daughters, Theresa (Bill) Martin of Levittown, NY,
Julia (Sal) Auriemma of Port Charlotte and Isabell (Kevin) Topp of North Port, FL; two sons, Rocco (Lucy) Casamassima and Frank (Marianne) Casamassima both of Port Charlotte; three sisters, Marie Scaglione of Congers, NY, Lizette Colavito of Italy and Antoinette Mirra of Harrison, NY; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren
