Geneva Mae Yeardley, 96, of Madison, Alabama and former residence of Venice, Florida passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.

Geneva was born July 26, 1927, in Markleysburg, Pennsylvania to the late Alonza and Agnes Glover. She moved to Florida in 1992 from Alexandria, Virginia. In Virginia, she founded and operated a very successful florist. She was always active in her local churches over the years having taught Adult Sunday School for decades. She was charming and never met a stranger. No matter where she went, she always had a smile for people and greeted them in such a loving way.  She will be greatly missed by many.

She is survived by her loving family, a son, Ralph (wife-Connie) Yeardley of Madison, AL; and a daughter, Catherine Yeardley of Punta Gorda, FL, seven grandchildren, and several

great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Yeardley who died in

2009, daughter, Patricia Yeardley Balestrieri who died in 2021, and son, Bruce Yeardley who died in 1972.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 1, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Roberson Funeral Home, 2151 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, Florida 33948 followed by Graveside services at 11:00 AM at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte.
