George Legan, 92, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2016.
George was born on November 26, 1923 in Ginter, PA to Elizabeth and Joseph Legan. George served in the United States Air Force from 1940 to 1950 and loved his country. He was a founding member of Briarcliff Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia. George retired as District Manager of Milwaukee Valve Company, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He is survived by his bride of 49 years, Donna; step-daughter, Vicky Rodgers; granddaughters, Faye Elizabeth (Lloyd) Gillespie, Leslie Puleo, Lorrie (Chip) Melton, and Bonnie (Russell) Delanio and 9 great-grandchildren, Falon, Isabella, Victoria, Tiffany, Adaline, Russ, Cole, Will, and Grant. George was preceded in death by his two daughters, Debra Nichols and Brenda Corbett, three brothers, four sisters and their spouses.
A Graveside service with Military Honors will be held 12:30PM, Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, Florida
