GEORGE ALBERT SMITH, 91, of Pensacola, Florida and formerly of Port
Charlotte died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007 in Pensacola.
He was born December 25, 1915 in Jamaica and moved to Port Charlotte in 1994
from Jamaica and then to Pensacola to live. He was a retired clerk with Reynolds Jamaica Mines. Mr. Smith attended the Edgewater United Methodist Church while living in Port Charlotte.
He is survived by his loving family, a daughter, Elaine R. (Cornell) Campbell of
Bronx, NY; a son, Dr. George A. (wife-Maxine) Smith, Jr. of Pensacola; a sister, Linda (husband-Keith) Crosdale of Jamaica; two brothers, Solomon Smith of Jamaica and Loxley Smith of Port Charlotte; Six grandchildren, Diane Campbell, Jason Campbell, Ryan-Colby Smith, Karsten Smith, Dominic Smith and Rochelle Smith; a great granddaughter, Nevaeh Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Florence Smith, his wife Pearline Louise Smith, a brother, Lloyd and four sisters, Leanora, Icelin, Monica and Winifred.
