George was born to George and Katherine Schmidt on August 24, 1955 in Queens, New York. George was a Vietnam veteran who served in the U.S. Army. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend and will forever be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Survivors include his loving wife of 20 years, Cheryl; his stepchildren, Heather Fell and Joseph Ewing both of Port Charlotte and his sister, Kathy Ticho of New Mexico, and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, FL.
