Gerald Francis (Jerry) Huban, 68, of North Port, formerly of Port Charlotte, Florida and Plymouth, Hanover and Milton, Massachusetts, died Sunday, February 7, 2010 at his North Port residence.
He was born October 24, 1941 in Boston, Massachusetts, and moved to Heritage Oak Park in Port Charlotte, 9 years ago from MA. When Jerry retired from Bank of Boston with 35 years of service, he was Director of Systems Technology. Jerry most recently served as Vice Chairman of Bobcat Trail CDD Board of Supervisors for the past 3 years. He was formerly Chairman of Heritage Oak Park’s HOA Villa I and President of the 12th Hole Condominium Association at White Cliffs Country Club in Plymouth, MA. Jerry served in the United States Coast Guard Reserves.
Jerry is the beloved husband of 44 years of Carol Ann (nee Barron) Huban. Jerry is also survived by his son, Eric (Kamrin) Huban of New York, NY; his daughter, Kim Huban (Tin Chan) of Northboro, MA; his grandchildren, Sami, Heather and Abby Chan; his brother, Marvin (Cheryl) Huban of Estero, FL; and his shelter cat Chloe. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Marvin F. and Eleanor M. (nee Sheehan) Huban, and a sister, Beverly Bobrick.
