Gregg Melvin Forrest, 67, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away after a brief illness on December 17, 2024, at the Tidewell Hospice House, Port Charlotte, Florida.
Gregg was born September 2, 1957, in Boston, Massachusetts to the late George and Dorothy (Jones) Forrest. He grew up in Hanover, MA and graduated high school, before pursuing his career with Waste Management. Gregg was a dedicated hard-working employee with over 40 years of service for Waste Management before retiring in 2022. Gregg and his late wife Linda (Bozoian) moved to Port Charlotte in 2018.
Gregg enjoyed spending time with family and friends playing cards, board games and yard games. He followed all the Boston sports teams, was an avid reader and loved playing golf whenever he could. He had a very eclectic taste in music and was never far from his headphones. He, and his spoiled cat, Buddy, kept each other company through the good times and bad.
He is survived by his three children Brianne Biastoff of Nashua, New Hampshire, Nicole (Sebastian) Krauz, of Southfield, Massachusetts, Matthew (Marissa) Forrest of Colorado Springs, Colorado, his two-step children Rodney (Erin) Lynch of Charleston, South Carolina and Edward (Wendy) Lynch of Punta Gorda, Florida, his grandchildren Morgan, Emiline, Adaline, Everly and his step granddaughter Brittany. He is also survived by his two sisters, Allison Sullivan of Westwood, MA, Robin (Andy) Edwards of Hanson, MA and his brother Steven Forrest of Hanover, MA.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
