IN MEMORIAM
Jack (John A.) Johnson of Port Charlotte FL and formerly of Greensburg, PA died Saturday, April 25, 2009 at St Joseph’s Hospital, Tampa, FL.
He was born in Greensburg, PA, March 19, 1933 to Mabel Wolfe and John Arnold Johnson.
After graduating from Penn Township High School, he continued his education as an apprentice at Westinghouse Airbrake, Pittsburgh, PA prior to entering military service, serving in the US Army. Employment at the US Post Office in Greensburg, PA followed with a transfer to Port Charlotte, FL in 1971. His love of construction brought him to building homes in the Port Charlotte area, later evolving in working at Prudential Florida Realty on the Dottie Johnson Team.
Jack had the loving and endless support of his wife and high school sweetheart, Dottie (Dorothy Eisaman), daughters, Lori (spouse-Len Lorenz), Jodi (spouse-Rick McCandless) and special grandson, Kyle Kemp, through many health concerns he encountered while he continued to encourage others in his life. The Eisaman families were always within arms reach offering help and support. Tracey and Joe Lorenz occupy the home he originally built for his family next door, adopted him as theirs and helped to surround him with many family gatherings bringing a radiant smile to his face as he saw others enjoying the fruits of his labor at the family home he created and the love he shared with all those whose lives he touched. Sharing a lifelong relationship with his immediate family, his physical absence will be forever missed.
