James R. (Jimmy) Boyce, 63, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Friday, April 30, 2010 at Tidewell Hospice , Port Charlotte.
James was born November 6, 1946 in Cortland, New York and moved to Port Charlotte 20 years ago from there. He was a Vietnam veteran who served proudly for the U.S. Air Force. James was a fireman for the Cortland, New York Fire Department for many years before retiring in Florida. He was a passionate Harley Davidson rider who enjoyed cruising around town. He was an astonishing man who will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Christine R. Boyce; 2 step-sons, Mickey A. Albright of Port Charlotte and Bill Albright of Cullman, AL; his mother, Ruth Carter of Port Charlotte and 3 grandchildren.
Private inurnment and military honors by the U.S. Air Force will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, Florida.
