James was born June 12, 1949 in Peoria, Illinois to the late Harold Eugene Robinson and Dora Mary (Masters) Robinson. He was the owner of Phillips Autobody in Peoria, Il for 21 years and retired to Punta Gorda, FL in 2005. Jim, a car enthusiast, restored countless classic cars over his lifetime. He also enjoyed fishing and was president of the Peace River Social Club.
Jim is survived by his loving family, his wife of 45 years, Diane M. Robinson of Punta Gorda; daughter, Theresa Robinson Mercer of Lakeland, FL; two sons, Steve Edmund Pauli of Minneapolis, MN and A.J. Robinson of Ketchikan, AK; brother, Michael Robinson of Bartonville, IL; and 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Memorial services celebrating James’ life will be held at a later date by the family.
