James was born June 8, 1939, in Hammond, Indiana to the late Jacob and Elizabeth Krass. He was a retired Engineer for Commonwealth Edison in Chicago. James graduated from Purdue University. He loved fishing and traveling and was a huge sports fan, especially the Chicago Bears. He moved to Punta Gorda in 1994 from Chicago.
James is survived by his niece, Sheryl Hipp of North Port, FL; a great niece Elizabeth Hipp Lowe of Punta Gorda, FL; and a great nephew, Samuel Hipp of Punta Gorda, FL. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan M. Krass who died in 2004 and sister, Elieen M. Rinehammer who died this year.
Graveside services and interment will be held Wednesday 11:00 AM, November 1, 2023, at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 1380 Forrest Nelson Blvd., Port Charlotte, FL 33952
