James Lee Kain, 66, of Port Charlotte, Fla. passed away peacefully at
TideWell Hospice & Palliative in Arcadia, Fla. on Tuesday, September 8. He was born May 14, 1943 in Dayton, Ohio and settled in Port Charlotte in 1982 after many years in Miami, Fla. and in Puerto Rico.
He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the US Navy. He was a retired real estate agent for Phil Wilson Realty in Port Charlotte and Prudential Realty in Punta Gorda. A member of First Alliance Church in Port Charlotte, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and son, and will be missed but not forgotten. Jim was passionate about life, loved to sail, scuba dive and ride motorcycles, and loved his family immensely.
Survived by his loving wife, Magali “Maggie” Kain of Port Charlotte; two daughters, Robyn (William) Kain of Alexandria, Va., and Kimberly (Howard) Kain of
Bradenton, Fla.; two sons, Jason Kain of Arlington, Va. and Isaac (Kristy) Brownman of Sarasota, Fla.; his Parents, Jack H. Kain of Cheyenne, Wyo. and Betty Moore of Naples, Fla.; two sisters, Shelley Kain of Cody, Wyo. and Tami Henke of Denver, Colo.; a brother, Ron Kain of Naples, Fla; and, four grandchildren, Isaiah, Joshua, Elijah and Morgan.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 11, 2009 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at
Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. There will be a Celebration of Jim’s life
Service at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at First Alliance Church in Port Charlotte. Pastor Scott Borden will officiate the service. Son, Rabbi Isaac Brownman, will officiate the Internment and committal at Restlawn Memorial Gardens Port Charlotte immediately following the service.
