James was born February 18, 1936 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and moved to Port Charlotte in 1986 from Millville, New Jersey. He was a retired manager for a laminating company. He was a dealer at the Playboy/Atlantis Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. He was a door greeter for Wal-Mart in Port Charlotte for many years. James enjoyed antiques, traveling, and peanut pals. Mr. McGoo is what several people called him had a funny sense of humor and always played jokes on his family and friends. When he first moved to the Country from the City, he would show the kids how to cut the grass with scissors. He was a wonderful father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend and will be missed dearly by all who loved and knew him. HE WILL BE FOREVER MISSED AND FOREVER LOVED.
Survivors include his 3 sons, Jimmy McGourn of Philadelphia, PA, Kenny (Shirley) Chichura of Millville, NJ and Sean (Vicki) Chichura of Port Charlotte, FL; 4 daughters, Alicia (Scott) Graham of Port Charlotte, FL, Bonnie (Cliff) Tesone of Apollo, PA, Donna (Kent) Woodstra of Wilmington, DE and Diane (Terry) Coneby of Morristown, NJ; a sister, Catherine McGehrin of Maryland; a brother, Edward McGourn of Philadelphia, PA; 12 grandchildren, Stephanie, Joey, Courtney, Christy (David), Joey E., Heather, Amanda, Ashley, Andrew, Josh, Sean, Jr., and Alexis and 2 1/2 great-grandchildren, Antonio and Ryan and another on its way and several nieces and nephews.
