JAMES T. (JIM) RINGHAM, JR., 84, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Sunday, May 11, 2008 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital, Port Charlotte.

Jim was born September 16, 1923 in Lynnville, Indiana and moved to Port Charlotte with his wife Jean in 1983 from West Warwick, RI. He was a retired sales representative for Gulf Oil Company which is now Chevron. Jim was an active member of the Port Charlotte United Methodist Church, Methodist Men’s Club of the church and American Legion Post #110 of Port Charlotte. He was a veteran of World War II, serving as a Staff Sergeant, U.S. Army Air Corps.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jean St. Clair Ringham of Port Charlotte; two sons, Jon Michael (Gina) Ringham of Danville, IN and Thomas J. (Cathy)Ringham of Indianapolis, IN; a brother, Bob D. Ringham of Evansville, IN;
and 4 grandsons.
