It is hard to accept, Uncle Jim's passing. All who knew him and got the chance to love him will miss him dearly. I am lucky to have had an Uncle as caring, fun, and free-spirited as he was. Whenever I was around him life seemed so easy and he made everything so fun. He had the gift of laughter, and no matter the mood or even why we all came together, we’d all laugh at his wit, share in his humor, and he’d entertain us with his stories and experiences. He told the best stories and remembered every detail. He made my childhood exciting; taking the nieces and nephews out for long days of snow-filled adventures, or up the hill behind Grandma’s house to play on the playground. He even told us a scary tale or two so we’d behave better for our mother’s – being the good brother he was. He was a good Uncle, and I always knew he loved me. No matter what stage of life I was in, he was able to relate to me. I will always have my own fond memories of him to cherish for the rest of my life. I will keep his memory close to my heart, and I am thankful for every moment I got to spend with him. For this, I was blessed. Jen
